Solar Atomic G-Shock with Largest Display

    Hello,
I wear mens watches for the larger bands. As I am getting older it is harder for me to see the display. I would love to get a solar atomic model with big, huge numbers, and it would be great if it were one of the thinner case models. I am posting here because I am hoping someone who is familiar with the g-Shock models would recommend a model that meets my needs. BTW it does not have to be a Casio if you happen to know of another brand that has a model that meets my needs that would be OK also. Thanks for your time in responding to my inquiry.

The thinnest G-shocks are the 5600's, I believe, but the numbers are not particularly large on those. The other G's are pretty chunky, not at all thin. Casio has a bunch of non-G's that are also thin, but again, I am not familiar with any that have large, easily readable numbers.

Not sure about other brands, but I feel like I have seen pictures of digital watches with pretty big numbers-- I bet someone else on the forum will post some ideas soon.

Also, you might consider a quartz analog watch with hands, as those are easier to see for many. In that instance, there are tons of choices.

    Good luck!
    Regards.

the MTG-910 has rather big digits. bigger than most other g-shocks

outside of the g-shock brand, you could try looking into the Pathfinder/Protreks. their digits are hyooge

Wow! Quick and very helpful responses. I will look into all of these. And keep the info coming. BTW analog is just fine for me, any suggestions for the same criteria, thinner is better, and I would love solar atomic, also. Thanks again for all of the assistance.

    Hello Peacemaker,
I cannot thank you enough. You really did your research. I like the way a couple of them look. I will be checking into their features and also someone suggested analog, so I would like to compare them to some analog models, that are thinner, solar and atomic. I really appreciate that you sent such a comprehensive list. As I checked each for the case thickness, I see you really took all of my criteria into consideration when compiling the list. Thank you!!

    Hello G-Junkie,
Yes the numbers look perfect, but I have to balance that with the thicker case 16mm. I will look into the other brands you recommended. Thanks

The Pathfinder PAW1300 series is one of the most easily readable watches in the line up. Of course it's not a G-Shock but if you are looking for a large display that won't weigh your wrist down or stick out too much, check it out.

Absolutely no problem. Glad to help and give it a few more and veterans here will surely chime in, as others have already.
