    Some questions about the GW5510

I do noto know much about this model, how is it considered? Simeone on this forum suggested me to buy this model because it's a balance between 'origin' and modern.
I suppose this model borns in the past ang gets better, like the modern GW5000, isn't it?
Do you own this model? What do you think?

It's my favorite model. It has the classic looks but also much heftier than the 5600. Nice wide band, a tech noir square design, and super comfortable to wear. You can even dress it up somewhat, especially the negative display model.

Re: Some questions about the GW5510

I have the negative model and it is one of my favorite Gs. I actually bought 2 of them just in case something ever happens to the first one. It is my ideal 5500, as I bought several of the non atomic negative versions and I have several of the positive display atomics, but this was the first atomic/negative screen available outside of a rare and elusive GW5500 from a few years ago that I'm sure if you blinked then you missed it if you were looking to obtain one.

I prefer the 5500s because of the comfort and the screen layout. The band is wider so it hugs your wrist and the display seems larger so it is easier to read. I was never sold on the looks of these until I bought my first one, and then I was hooked. I'm probably up to 10 5500s so far and unless they release newer models I am probably done with the 5500s for now.

I never really considered them before, but the design is starting to grow on me.

I love the 5500. I almost bought one. Im still considering because for some reason this design just keeps growing on me.

    Nice choice I think.

I wish Casio would make a 5500 shaped bezel for the 5000/5600 case, so I could have a 5500 screwback

Re: Some questions about the GW5510

    I've just bought a pink display 5510. :D
    As 5600 collector, i really.love the design of 5500.
Maybe i'd buy more if i can ever find them here in my country (pretty hard 2 find)

    Here's the seller's picture

Anyway. I'm surprised that it already has multiband 6 feature. Not that it'd be any use here :D

Re: Some questions about the GW5510

Before the GW5510 came out my plan was to get one of the pink models like above and swap out the pink LCD for a normal negative display, and swap out the pink buttons for black and stealth the pink lettering. One caveat is I was never able to remove the LCD panel in the module even carefully trying to unlatch the plastic clips holding it in, or more accurately, couldn't FIND these clips if there are clips that hold it in place. Basically I abandoned that idea, but it would have been cheaper had I gone that route as those pink ones could be had for around $88 shipped. Figure $4 for the LCD, $10 for a set of rubber button boots and that would be all.

Re: Some questions about the GW5510

5500 is not really popular model... before GW5510 came out at the end of 2013 there basically wasn't any good 5500.

And still at the moment there is no ''vanilla'' simple 5500 worldwide release. Either there is no market for this model or Casio want to keep it special...

We had some colors before, but no model that would make 5500 more popular.
