    Some square advice

I'm looking to add a square G Shock to my collection. I have a Rising Red 5630 that I got as a gift, but for some reason it's just not jiving with me. I'd really prefer a different color.

I haven't yet gotten one that I want to wear and I need some help deciding. I know there's the 5600 and the 5610s which are newer. I'd like to just get a black or blue one. It can have some other colors. I'm not too concerned with features. I really just like g shocks for their look. As long as it can tell me the time I'm good.

I'd like to keep it around. $100 or less. I figure eBay is my best bet to get one cheaper than retail.

So which square G's do you guys recommend??

    HELP!!! I've been G-Shocked!

Do you want atomic and/or solar?

If not, my suggestion is the DW5600EG-9. The gold accents really set it apart.

So does the placement of the light button set it apart.
Don't understand why the EG light button is the wrong button....lower right is different from most other Gs. Very awkward and a pain to use.

Solar/atomic GWM5610 is $99 delivered now on Amazon

The light button on all DW5600Es is in the "wrong" place. It's a bit annoying, especially coming from the DW5600C.

I recently got the GWM5610-1 and I am liking it a lot. It is a great watch.

If you're not concerned with features, just get a basic DW-5600-E from Amazon or Walmart. $42.82 USD from both places as I type this.

There's also a few other square Gs besides the classic 56XX or 50XX. I like the G-8000/8100 quite a bit actually - the 8100 looks really sci-fi and has a cool double illuminator. Or how about a "super square" G-7800? And one of the most comfy G-Shocks - any of the G(W)-55XX series.

    cheers, Sedi

If you want a square for coolness alone, DW5600MS-1 is a kick-ass G. All black PVD buttons and buckle, wide strap and negative display. I think it is a very handsome G. But poor readability in low light is another issue.
