    Hi Batman,

    Thanks for your comments.
I did not understand what "Holy channel tweaking" means but should be OK

You actually might have had me were it not for the turquoise one with red tint screen and blue dial arc. Holy channel tweaking, Batman.

    Hi Q-6,

Thanks for buying Japanese products :thanks
I'm sure that you are enjoying that watch without adjusting time and worry about batteries provided that you are not night-owl.

Unfortunately, new one does not have negative LCD feature but I'll post information once I get. I'm sure negative LCD one looks great even through someone says it is hard to see in outside/daytime.

Thanks for posting the image. I'm most interested in seeing actual photographs of the PRW-5000YT-1JF when available. Price is about what i thought it might be, I'm still undecided about buying one.

    http://casio.jp/wat/search/watch/det...0YT-1JF&n=4577

    - Color Black-IP "Black ion plating"
    - Titanium bracelet.
    - anti-reflection coated Sapphire glass.
    - Price 90,000 JPY ( approx. 1,000 USD )

Besides above, all features are same with existing model I think.
So far, there is no information for negative LCD model ( which I'm looking forward too ! )

    Hope this helps.

Is this the only PRW-5000 model with the AR Sapphire?

It seems so as long as I read the specifications.
that's one of the reason, this model is put higher tag.

Hmmm, you're right, that was an especially ridiculous thing to write here, my apologies!

The latest picture looks great. I actually prefer the positive display to the negative one. This model no doubt looks seller in person.

So far my 5000T has performed flawlessly, proving easily to be match for any other ABC Casio produces. The altimeter drift appears to be less on the 5000 than the previous generations of Protreks, which is no bad thing. Accuracy in general is extremely good and function is a breeze once you adjust to the analogue movement, of course the downside is the readability (compared to a traditional digital ABC) & additional button pushes. Certainly in the mountains of Guizhou the 5000T performed admirably.

The new YTJ is certainly appealing, with its monotone look, for me for the present I still prefer the 5000T, with its splash of colour and regular titanium finish. For the asking price of around $750 the YTJ sees the traditional black IP coating on the bezel & bracelet and sapphire crystal with anti glare coating, which not too bad being around $150 more than the titanium version, although you will be looking at a jump of $282 on the standard version on resin, which is not inconsiderable.
