Question Something Weird Is Going On At Amazon

Something weird is going on at Amazon....

Although some third-party sellers have stock, Amazon itself has no stock of several core G-Shock models currently. For example:

    GW9200-1

    GW9010-1

    GW6900-1

Is it coincidence? Is it destiny? I wonder because Amazon is selling the first five seasons of LOST today for only $72.99.

I've noticed prices changing too on some watches, and in an odd way. They had the Riseman listed for $350 for a while, then it was back $220 ($199.95 from them). I don't know if there's some glitch with their software or what.

As for being out of stock on popular models, I'd expect it too given the season.

It's Christmas gift shopping time...stuff goes fast.

One thing about buying from that third party at Amazon, if you return it, for what ever reason, chances are that you'll get stuck with the return shipping charge.
i was told by Amazon Customer Support, that if you want to cancell a order that you made with a third party, you got from 20 to 30 minutes to do so, from the time you placed the order with some of those third party sellers. And if you want to contact them about it, all it is, is a email by way of Amazon to them. They have 3 days to reply to you.
It be a good idea to check with their Return Policy before dealing with those third party sellers.

I've notice the price variations too. Have my eye on the Riseman. There is a button on the left in Amazon which limits what is displayed to only items sold by Amazon. I like this button.

Amazon direct runs out of stock and then gets new stock in all the time and there pricing varies a lot.

Someone posted here that they knew a guy at amazon that said they have the computer select different prices and sometimes it less than what they pay for an item to build up interest. The same guy said he checks it 2 times a day as it varies that much.

I just ordered a GW-9200 Riseman from a 3rd party seller through Amazon. It arrived yesterday but it was only a G-9200. I sent it back. The seller paid for the return shipping on that, since it was their screwup, but in reading their return policy, if I had been returning the watch for my own reasons, I'd pay the shipping, + a restocking fee of +/- 15%!

So yeah, read the fine print before you click!

And, they were sold out of GW-9200's, so I didn't get my watch, either.
Hotel Clerk: Do you have seventeen dollars and a good watch?
Del: No I don't. I have uh... two dollars... and a Casio.
