    Unhappy Sorry Casio......

The last two years I had the idle hope of the G-Shock phone being released ina GSM format worldwide, but unfortunately there is no sign of anything happening in that direction. My good old Nokia 6310i was getting very old and so I bought a new phone Tuesday. I hava actually had no time to discover what's on it and how it worked, but I think it will do the next wo years No Nokia this time, but a Samsung D600. I got a friend working at a phoneshop and he said this model never returned to the shop with problems.

I whish this was released here:

    Cheers,

    Sjors

    Re: Sorry Casio......

Well, a month ago I noticed having received in quick succession some 14 messages without hearing a thing...yep...ringer gone. So I got myself a Samsung SGH-X640 GPRS tri-band to replace my 3 year old Nokia. That Samsung rocks, very nice little phone.
Mind you, to me the perfect mobile phone should behave just like a landline phone, but without a chord attaching it to the rest of the house.

And, yes, the ideal mobile would be about the size of my G-9000 muddie. But can you see a whole city talking into their wrist? Good for osteopaths and chemists: "yes, Doctor, I think I may have G-Mobile wrist"...

I really wanted to buy one when I was in Tokyo 1 month ago.
But they told me it would not work outside of Japan.
    Too bad.....

Motorola SLVR L7 for me. Great display, loads of features and a solid reputation for reliability...

    Nokia 2100

I'm not exactly into mobile phones but got this NOKIA many years ago whilst working in Bangkok:-D

It's still going strong and the reception is very clear and loud.

I've got a few top little gizmo phones from Japan but Japan is a system unto itself so no go around the world.

I've only got my phone for emergenices and don't really use the thing.

Here's some quick photos for you to enjoy

They should be available around Christmas time in the US, through Verizon Wireless.
