Sorta OT: New Glasses - Good and Bad

    I've worn glasses since I was 13.
And I've always been near-sighted. (can not see far away)

Well, Over the last few years my eyes have actually been getting better.
In fact I can actually pass the eye exam for the driving test now.
Apparently as you get older you become far-sighted and I thought everything was cool. Age was being kind to me............

    Until last week.

The eye doc gave me the news that I needed bifocals........
OK, so I went ahead and ordered the glasses (angrily) and picked them up today. And I was being pretty pessimistic about his diagnosis until I looked down at my G Shock.
    Egads!
I did not realize how much clearer the dial was.
I was wearing my GW1500 with the 3 small LCD's. And normally I don't have a problem reading them. But WOW! There really is a big difference.
    But I feel so ooooollllllllld!
    Oh well......

It's all good. At least your vision is correctable.

Old? heh! We're all headed there a day at a time.

Besides, you can't be very old if you still enjoy G-Shocks.....

    Cheers...

The old strictly bifocal spectacles are a mixed blessing, but the newer varifocals are terrific. There can be a few days of adjustment before they feel entirely natural.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I certainly hope so. I've only had them on for a few hours and I'm having a little difficulty focusing. The distortion when I turn my head throws me off a little.

And I'm not even going to try stairs with them on yet. I'm 6'3'' so it's a long way down.

I'm 6' 3" as well but felt about 7' 5" on the first day. Some square things also went parallelogram-shaped. Persist and these oddities go away.
