A strange symbol on the DW-5600E?

    Hi Guys,
In the bottom right corner of the DW-5600E, directly under the "N" of CHRONO, there is a miniature underlined "o." I don't have a picture of this, but you can see it in fwupow's youtube video of the model as well, so it's not just my watch.
Does anyone know what this is about? Sorry if it has been brought up before; I am no good with the search function.
    Thanks,
    Alexs12

I'm going to take a guess that you are referring to the backlight function indicator on the DW5600E. You can read about it more in the manual.

No, it's nothing on the actual LCD, but on the painted markings directly below the LCD, where all the marketing stuff goes (the kind of stuff that is all missing from the DW-5600BB).

Roger that. I never noticed that mark on the DW5600E before. Anyone else hazard to guess? Here's a photo of my DW5600E for reference purposes:Name: casiodw5600purubberstrap - 022714 1.jpg

So it's not actually on the display, it's on the crystal? (I don't know if you can edit the thread title or not.)

I know I've seen this sort of topic before about vintage DW-5600C's, where the tiny lettering apparently indicates the "factory code": https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/dw-...cs-631884.html

Both of my DW-5600E's also have just a tiny "o" in the same position, and I THOUGHT I'd seen other threads about why that's still there, but can't find them now -- maybe some sort of "placeholder" in case Casio goes back to using different factory codes?
