    strap lengths

Is there any G with a longer than standard/usual strap length?

I am interested in a slightly longer strap and was wondering if the "king" gx56 had one, or if any other models were known for their longer strap?

The strap on the king is massive. I have a 7 and 3/8th inch wrist and there are still 5 slots remaining. In fact, the strap is so long that it sticks out on the back side (by the keeper). I am planning on making the straps a bit shorter.

I seem to remember a few people needing to cut down the strap on the G-8000, so I think that was unusually long.

I have fairly chunky (Just short of 8") wrists and have 3 holes spare on a 5500 and 5600 but 4 spare on a mudman.

In terms of comfort the 5500 wins.

    Re: strap lengths

hmmmm seems to vary quite a lot then.

I do not know what length my wrists are but the riseman and gulfman models just fit on the last hole and are tighter than I would prefer.

I was after picking up a mudman anyway so I can flesh out my master of g line, and will look into the gx56 as that is sounding really promising as is the g8000 wich I will go and google now to take a look at.

Many thanks for your suggestions, it is quite tiresome having to predominantly stick to the bracelet g510d (extended by casio uk free of charge) when I have all these beautiful watches.

Of course, I could just lose weight lol

This is the same problem I am having. I have no where to try on a Gshock My wrist is 8" but 8.5" is the most comfortable. Which G should I go with:thanks

Ive just ordered a mudman so will let you know poloman

Additionally, you could also get any g which featured a metal bracelet, those can be extended and shortened at will.

I have one fortunately, but I do prefer the rubber/nylon/whatever type g shocks so hopefully the mudman will be fine and once my wallet recovers the king should be a good fit also from what has been said.

    Re: strap lengths

I have an 8 inch wrist diameter and can vouch for the following:

    • GLX-5600 - ok (3 holes left, wearing it now )
    • GW-6900 - rubbish (strap far too short & thin for a big watch)
    • G-9000 Mudman - long, plenty of holes left
    • GW-2500b - plenty of holes left
    • G-1000 - same strap as above, comfortable
    • PRG-80 Protrek - very long strap
    • G-9100 Gulfman - too short for me
    • G5600 BLOW edition - too short for me

All my personal opinion of course.

    Re: strap lengths

Casio Customer service SUCKS!! This lady was rude as ... Good thing I did not buy a G-shock ..and then find this out Holy cow. I ask for strap sizes and she tells me she has NO CLUE how long the straps are, then tells me to buy another brand if I don't like their service. All I did was ask for strap lengths and who could find out the information? She says ..no one would know...find one and measure it Thanks I will find all the G- shocks and measure the ones I like:thanks

    Re: strap lengths

How about a model with 'built-in' adapters that can take any kind of strap like the following:
    GLS-5600
    G-7710CL
    G-2900V
I also got a G-3010 with those kind of adapters:
