Swapping glass on GW-M5610BC-1JF for GW-M5610BB-1ER look?

    Dear all,
Forgive me if this has been covered (if so, I couldn't find it) but is it possible to swap out the glass on a GW-M5610BC-1JF for GW-M5610BB-1ER look? Glass looks to be cheap to buy.

Basically, I like the matte black body housing and bracelet etc. of the GW-M5610BC-1JF but there's too much writing around the display itself for me. Both are obviously solars, radio etc. so this may be trickier than i thought as the solar bit is likely attached to the glass etc.

If the answer is yes, could someone direct me to a tutorial or info on how to do this? Thank you, I'm grateful for the expertise here.

oh my. not for the faint hearted and the old glass will likely be damaged on the way out...

i've seen old posts (photobucket) before with other members doing it on 1545/3229 squares and it looked tricky to say the least...

in short, push the old one out and if the gasket is reusable (in your opinion), slap it (or a new one) around the new crystal and push it back.

i recall someone stood on a book or somesuch as he did not have a suitable press.

Maybe something is flying over my head but wouldn't it be easier to install the BC bezel and band on a BB watch? Changing a glass is a very delicate operation and other than that, the cases are more or less the same, and exactly so for the modules...

If you have the 5610bc-1jf, I would buy the bb and swap the resin and combi bracelet to keep the seals and glass intact. Sell the frankenwatch created from the spare parts if you don't want it yourself to recoup some of the costs. Last time I looked the bb wasn't overly expensive.
