swapping silver buckle for gold buckle - Frogman GW-200 series

Has anyone had success swapping buckles on the GW-200 series?

I don't believe these are attached via springbars.

Someone suggested prying the bar out, but I don't want to do it if it's going to destroy/damage the buckle and make it unusable.

I don't have a frog but I imagine it's the same as some other Gs, I have done this many times (with my Gulfman, i believe): frying the buckle out and squeeze it back with some tools covered by clothes to prevent scratches, no biggies

but it's your watch, so whatever makes you happy

I have done and it is a little nerve racking the first time. What I do is hold the bar and tang with my thumb and fore finger and then stick some needle nose
pliers (with the ends wrapped in some tape as not to marr the buckle) into the actual buckle part and pry it open until that pin falls out which it will.
Dispite what you think this doesn't bend the buckle so when ready you just put one end of the pin back in the hole and slide other end down from the
Inside of the buckle it'll click to let you know you done it right. This seems to be a common question if I may post some pics or a vid of the process

    Hi,

I use a standard spring bar removal tool to remove the spring bars holding the buckle down. If you don't have a SB removal tool a very small flat screwdriver will do the trick, however be careful it does not slip. It does not damage the bar or plastic bit. Putting it back is just as easy.

    Hope this helps

They are not spring bars on the 200 frog, but rather solid pins/bars. No offense to pietervn but you'll never change that buckle using a spring bar tool or something similar as I and many other members have found
