    Question tele memo Raysman??

I recently spotted a Raysman on a web site and noticed something I hadn't seen on other Raysman. Directly below the CASIO on the watch dial it says "Tele memo" instead of the usual "Data Memory" - is there a difference in these watch models (i.e. time or place of manufacture) or are these fakes?? Watch otherwise looks legit, but that difference has me wondering. Any ideas?? :thanks

Hmm, never seen that but then again I haven't paid much attention to that. Do you have a link to the picture?

    Hi Bsears,

I think Data memory and Telememo are in much cases the same, although in several G-Cool's and newer G-Shock's there is a shared memory for data.

The Raysman models have a Tele memo, which can be used for storing telephone numbers. If you have the DW-9350 model, you will find out you have to scroll through Japanes characters first. I think this feature is a bit obsolete, since (almost) everyone carries a cell phone with phonebook nowadays.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Sjors, I think he knows that... he's just stating that he saw a Raysman that has "Telememo" written under the Casio logo on the dial... when normally, Raysmen say "Data Memory" underneath the Casio logo.

yeah, that's it Atomic. here's the link to the pic...and the price tag attached is pretty cheap for a brand spankin new Raysman (@$99 pre-ordered), which adds to my concern. Although if legit, I think it would be a great deal. The link is http://www.g-shock-and-baby-g.com/dw93001v.html -----someone posted this link not too long ago (for what i can't remember). So, whatcha'll think?

    Re: tele memo Raysman??

Well that's not a "real" picture of a Raysman. Casio does this too, they have their photoshopped (or whatever program they use) pictures instead of a "live" pic of a watch... and sometimes they mess up in their editing, that's all.

I'm pretty sure that same picture was pulled off a Casio website back when the Raysman was still in production, so I wouldn't worry too much about the website being "suspicious."

It was a good site, but all Raysman are sold out there about two years ago (I believe partly my fault:-D). I believe they had a huge pile of DW-8300's too. Same story....

So is this just a dead link then? I tried to do the "Add to cart" button, but it gave some funky message - I just assume you have to call to place the pre-order, provided, of course, this is still a good site and not some lingering one as Sjors suggests.

The page looks very familiar to me, but as in familiar that I have seen this page years ago (not months). If you live not too far a phonecall won't hurt, but ready to pre-order...I would be carefull out there.

    Cheers,
