Wink Thanks to Mike H & the forum...

    Hi all

Not so much of a regular here as my collection is mainly Seiko watches - so you can guess what forum where I normally hang out.!

Anyway it seems I am getting the G-Shock bug from one of the forum members here, a certain Mike Hogan. B-)

During a routine Seiko trade we started talking watches and one thing led to another...

...thanks Mike for all the help so far, but this is not going to be wallet friendly.!

Well I though there was a few to many Seikos to be had. There seems to be more Gs than you can shake a stick at. My personal favs are the red-eye and black-eye at the moment (read = today).

I can see myself faced with the same dilema, do I go new stuff or old skool vintage G.??? I do remember a very long way back that the first mudmans were analogue and I wanted one of them... anyone any info please let me know.

Anyway I expect a purchase real soon....

...so thanks to Mike and the other forum members for putting their knowlegde into a forum such as this.

    Thanks
    deano

    Hi Ozzie

    And thanks for the welcome.!

Yeah Happy Days.! When I first moved here there was a club called Happy Days and it was the last song they played every night.! You didn't need a watch as you knew the time when that record was played = 03:25.!

I have seen your "tag" on ebay numerous times, visited your web page also, even knew when you moved back from Japan to Oz.!

You have a great set of Gs, but seems to be outta my price range... I am looking for a nice beater to start with, not a common model, something a bit special, but until I see it, I won't know.!

    Thanks
    deano

    Smile Happy Days

    Hi Deano -

Cool and fond memories. I always thought Richies sister was cute:-D

My site is very out of date as I don't get much time for it nowadays.

I think most on the site have been sold.

I mainly sell through requests from my regular customers who I have been selling to for many years.

It's amazing that I'm back in Ozz.

My wife and I are not settled so I have decided to sell all my watches, not only G's but all will make it on my site eventually.

I have box loads in my place form Japan.

We plan to return so I can't leep carrying these boxes half away around the world with me.

After the G's, I will start with the Sea Pathfinder's, PROTREKS, SEIKO, CITIZEN, and many wonderful looking and rare gizmo type Japanese watches.,.

Then it will be on to the toys!:-D

I will list a LIFE magazine on EBay next from 1968. That was the year I was born. It has an interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono in it. Valuable piece possibly.. Will see when it's on EBay.

It may go for $1.00 or $100B-)

Anyway Deano, always here to help with any G questions so feel free to send me an email anytime, if not just to say hi

I will be backing away from the forum pretty much for ever soon as I have many things I have to do here and my committment will be on that job.

By the way, you can get some nice G's, not all are expensive. It's just a case of knowing what you like.. Big, small, solar, atomic, Master, Japan, Thailand, etc. The list is so long and I could write a book!

Take care and off for a nightly walk here
