    Wink Thanks Riley!!! (My G-Shock)

I got a lot of great small goodies today. A G-Shock brochure, a Spyderco Rescue Emergency Rescue knife, a CD from a great DJ I know (hand to hand to hand, I see this guy once or twice a year). The last package was a bit strange. It was a plastic bag. There was something that looked like it once had been an envelope. The sender was from Philadelphia. I was quite g- hocked actually. I had been looking for DW-5600C screws every for some time, but only found a bezel to repair my good old DW-5600C.

Luckily I found a letter from Riley with 4 screws intact in the bag and an appology letter from the postal service. All my stuff is put away in boxes all over the house, since the living room is painted, but as soon as I find my tools, I will re-assemble my DW-5600C, so it's looking proud, like new. Of course I will sent you the pictures!

    Thanks Riley, Thanks My G-Shock!!!

    Sjors

Wink Re: Thanks Riley!!! (My G-Shock)

I was making a series of posts on my JP weblog about my (mostly vintage) synth collection with G-Shock's. Then I remembered I had an old VL-1 VL-Tone ("da, da, da, ich lieb' dich nicht....du liebes mich nicht ") lying on top of a pile old drum machines, so I thought my DW-5600C would look nice on it.

    I took this picture:

and I took it off the small synth (yes, it's actually a very small and simple programable synth). Suddenly the bezel just crumbled. Just seconds after I took this picture....

I've heard similar stories a few times.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

I'm glad they got to you Sjors, despite the best efforts of the USPS to destroy them.

Looking forward to seeing pics of you with an intact DW-5600C again.

looks like that watch case was deliberately trashed... not typical, I wouldn't think. :)

    Hi Dan,

It wasn't deliberately, and like Ron says, it fell easy apart.

    Cheers,
