Is there a possibility that a G-shock could ever look like a conventional watch? LOL

The Giez series probably comes closest... here's my GS-1200M

Have to say though, most G's don't follow a standard, they set their own standard!

Love those analog G's - only drawback for me is the lume. I really prefer an illuminated face much like the GS500 or even part if the face like the GS300.

I'm not sure what size you're alluding to. I still find my ga150 to be one of my favorites.

And i'm closing in on a score of G's pretty quickly.

I thought the right side dial was merely for stopwatch. The left side flashes when i change modes. Those are seriously limited functions on this watch so i ignore them. Let me put the watch on real quick so you have a better "real" view vs the blown up pic i posted up.

It's late Sunday night, so excuse the quick shot. The right hand dial doesn't need to be there in my eyes and the two negative displays "disappear" unless i LOOK at them specifically for day or date.

Erm window dressing? I'm with you, they do seem a touch redundant. You could always download the manual from Casio's international site (support page) and avail yourself of all knowledge.

Interesting observation Chris re the reverse displays, I've thought the same on the GA100s and 120s - yet they make good reverse displays on your GD100 to take a recent example??
The 7900's are my favourites, although the 56s are currently my focus. But nothing is excluded, except pink Risemans.
