Is there a proper place to post about getting ripped off on WUS?

Paid for a watch last Saturday and was told it would ship that day. Never heard anything for days and then I PMed asking for the confirmation #. Still no reply from him. I got a message finally yesterday, but still no confirmation # or any indication of when he shipped it or how he shipped it. He gave an excuse as to a family member getting ill so there was no time to get it shipped Saturday but a few days later. Worst of all I paid with paypal gift only after seeing this guy sells on here all the time. Is this the place for such a post? I feel PO'ed I am out $100 and this guy will go on and rip someone else off.

That's stinks man...sorry hear about this. I think the feedback section would be a more proper place to let the forum know to beware of this seller.

IMHO if you paid with Paypal gift you got what you deserved. Sorry.

Yeah I normally only would use a gift payment for somepone I have done a deal with before or knew personally. He seemed legit based on him selling on here for a long time. It wasn't a red flag so much as when I sell things I usually ask if they would send it via gift payment, but at least I have several references of selling since 1999.

I just checked and this guy GlassPassenger11 signed in as recently as an hour ago but failed to respond to my message asking him for tracking info or contact info when I sent it today and then again a couple of hours ago. When I see this behavior it is pretty obvious of a scumbag that won't answer PMs on purpose. If this guy has the balls to post a new FS ad I will be livid....

I was under the impression most sellers here require you to pay by gift, that paying by gift is standard procedure.
    Am I wrong about this?

Yes. It's against forum rules. The rule is there to protect you.

    Thanks. Never knew that..
I ques you are referring to this bit:
"By describing a sales transaction as a "gift" to avoid legitimate fees (i.e. Paypal), violates WUS rules and is subject to thread deletion or account suspension."

I do not completely understand what is meant by this but it's good to know buying/selling etiquette is not paying as gift but as a transaction.

You have no recourse through paypal if you sent someone money as a gift...because it's a gift not goods.
