    Thin

I'm looking for a thin G-shock. What's the thinnest one up to date? Is it acceptable to wear a G-shock with a suit?

With good availability, probably going to be a 5600. I think you can make it work with a suit. The thinnest one to date was I think a polygonal one... I forget the module. Others will fill in. Good luck!!

whatever base model the A-Life one is, i think is one of the thinnest g-shocks and there are some subtle colors out there that i think would go over ok with a suit.

I was told the 056 is the thinnest. I almost had one to measure for you but I missed it by a couple bucks

    That's correct. 11mm, from memory.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Hi Kryptonite,

The G(W)-056 is indeed the thinnest G-Shock model ever made. Check out the article I wrote about it a few months ago:

    50 Gs

    Cheers,

The question is, it is acceptable to you

Personally, I wear g shocks with a suit regularly, but I don't really care much for others opinions of whether that is right/wrong.

Genuinely, my e.g. omega matches with a suit better, but as I say, I don't really care - I'll choose my watch based on whatever whim strikes me of a given morning.

I'll accept that G Shocks don't match to a suit as well as a more dressy option, but I'll not lose sleep over it.

I also get a minor kick out of wearing my GW-5000 when people ask me why I'm wearing a 'crappy cheapo plastic digital watch' - I always say hey I like it.

    They don't know nuthin'

    LOL

yes the 056 is the thinnest g shock. i would wear a black 056 or a black 5600 with a suit. the only time i will not wear a g shock is when its a black tie which is super formal.
