There are red and green lights down by the function indicator that alternately (or maybe 2 red one 1 green) blink when the alarm goes off.

The band look like the one on the Kawasaki SE, I think someone said it's plastic impregnated leather or something wrapped around the standard plastic band. Pretty comfortable if you ask me.

thanks. i like the looks of it and it has the multiple alarms that you can set for a specific day of the year. i was leaning towards the mudman but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me. same with the gulfman, though i like that one more.

You cannot set the alarms for a specific day of the year. You set the hr min and then pick from it going off on wDay, wEND, ONCE, or DAILY.

This is a very nice model. If you get one, don't forget to post some real pics.

very good to know. as much as i like this one, that might be the deal breaker. looks like it's back to the gulfman.

Gulfman can do that? Even the atomic/solar? Might be a deal maker for me :)

EDIT: just looked at the manuals online and the 9100 (atomic/solar) only has daily alarms. I guess if I need the option to set specific date I'll use my old w-50u.

it's my understading that the non-atomic gulfman can do that, yes, but not the atomic.
