Time for me to make a decision.

I have a bit of a decision to make. I currently have 5 G-Shocks, I know a very small number to some. Anyway, I do not and have never owned a limited edition or collab.

I am highly interested in the DW5035D which I will be able to order within 2 weeks.

But here is where my indecision kicks in. G-Shocks are meant to be used and abused. If I buy the 5035 and something should happen to it, I would be ticked off. So here is where I need your help amd opinions. Should I order it within the next couple weeks, or should I just stick to my basic models where I don't really care what happens to them?

You want what you want. No reason to deny yourself anything- G Shock or otherwise- that you can reasonably afford. You don’t have to justify it. Buy it and pamper it if you want.

If you can afford it then buy it. No sense in wishing you had bought it.

Just order it and wear it. As limited as it is, spare parts are still readily available for you to fix it, should anything happen to it.

True, and who knows it could be even more robust. I've never even handled one.

G-Shocks are not made to break. I think if you don't have a screw back in your collection, you will enjoy the full metal case on this :)

Any suggestions on the best online place to order? I saw one on Ebay for $178 after shipping but seller was only 84% positive feedback.

Buy it! Bezels and bands are readily available, just put a screen protector on the glass so you wont worry about scratching it, if you want to protect the screwback, automotive vinyl film would protect it from scratches (it also does not peel easily)

My 1 and only watch, daily, beater, with screen protector and vinyl film on the screwback, original jelly bezel and carbon fiber strap is preserved in a box lol

Buy it. You don’t have to abuse it and you’d likely regret it if you denied yourself this G.

Get it, use it, enjoy it. I'd also find a beater watch (G or not) to wear when doing activities that will definitely damage the watch, you'll feel better then.
