Video Timeline of G-Shock structure materials -- Youtube video!

Here's the Youtube link in case it doesn't show up in this post.

Our beloved GW-5000 also gets a nod. :)

It seems carbon is the way of the future. I'm anticipating a carbon core square

Cool video and Carbon is definitely the future.

Can't wait to try a GWR-B1000 on, not sure if I'll like a super lightweight watch.

I have to admit I like to feel a bit of weight on my wrist myself too. So unless we are talking about a very large watch, steel would be my first preference as well.

Having said that, I find the recent carbon fiber reases very cool, but I would still insist on a removable stainless steel case back.

Also I'm still conflicted about seeing the use of carbon fiber on the bezel. I think for some models it may work better than others.

I know would be perfectly happy even if carbon fiber was used 'invisible', as case material, hidden under the bezel and only I would know that it is there. Kind of like the stainless case of a GW5000.

Oh boy. I dread to think what a carbon square might do to my “no more watches” diet.
