Titanium carbide coating - scratch resistance now different?

I found that TiC coating on my 2018 Oceanus is harder than TiC coating on Oceanus T2600 from a few years ago.

Has Casio updated their PVD process? Why are they quiet about it?

The change in scratch resistance is most easily seen when I rub the two watches gently against one another. The old Oceanus gets covered in small scratches and the new one remains absolutely smooth.

Casio are continually investing in R&D so the answer is 'Probably'.

Wow! Clearly, you either have a healthy lack of concern for small scratches, or a great desire to know about these coatings.

It would be great news if TiCN is improved in Oceanus. Once I got S3000 and S1400 and it were not that hard as I expected. I think Diashield is more durable in my SLA017 and SBDX017 - after more than 1 year of occasional wear (similar as previous Oceanus) not even a singel scratch. :)
