    Today was a good day...

I didn't have to use my AK... but also received two Gs in the post. Finally mangaged to get a couple of used bargains on ebay, the first astonishingly for £10, a like new scorpion DW6620-2. There was no DW66XX in my small collection so this makes a great addition.

The second was a GW2500bd, a watch that I had always had soft spot for but could never justify the £250-£300 price tag here in the UK. So as you can imagine for £50 I'm more than happy. Had to switch out some of the scratched links for the spares which the seller kindly provided.

After being made redundant from my job I am now forced to hold off on buying any more Gs so this is it for this year but a good way to end the year in my view.

Re: Today was a good day...

Congrats on your finds! Two very nice G-Shocks, to boot.

I hardly ever buy new G-Shocks. Getting a used one in excellent shape for so much less than new is hard to pass up, and feels so damned good when it goes right (seller is honest about condition). And the good thing about a watch is that it's usually not hard to completely disinfect it from any bio-traces of the previous owner and make any necessary corrections with replacement parts.

I never noticed that before, but the GW2500BD dial numerals have an uncanny similarity to a Bell & Ross analog watch. Hmmmm...
