Smile Tokyo trip! Got some Gs!!

Wow. What can I say? I got back from Japan recently and I had a fantastic time over there!

I had never been to Japan before and — let me just say what a fantastic country, culture, and people! Some of the warmest, most polite, and sincerely friendly people I have ever met.

Of course, while I was there, I had to buy some G-Shocks!

I already have quite a few Gs and didn't know what, if anything, I would purchase, but for some reason the GXW-56 King spoke to me! I had never owned one before, but once I tried it on at the store, saw how cool it looked and felt how comfortable it was on my wrist, I had to get one.

So of course, I got three!

    Here they are:

But there's a twist. Not all went as planned:

    What happened?

It's an interesting story — but since I'm not good at long, detailed travelogue posts (or maybe I'm just too lazy), I will leave it at that for now and add to it in the coming days so you guys will have something to look at.

Congrats!! Sounds like a great trip, and some nice watches you picked up there. I have 2 of those 3 Kings - just not the red one. Judging from your pic, looks like it was good that you were wearing that King! All that mud might have destroyed a lesser watch. The King just laughed at it.

I'd love to do a Japan trip one day. The closest I've gotten so far was a stopover at the Tokyo airport. I'm not even sure I got to leave the plane. It was so long ago now, I don't remember.

Can't wait for the rest of the story. Japan must be a fantastic country, I've never been even near it. The three Kings look great, same kind, but different look altogether. Congratulations!

This is so true. There won't be a pothole in their smooth roads in sight and all of the trains, buses, and public transportation run on time.

My friend also reliably informs me that there is no litter to be found on the streets, they actually use the litter receptacles provided.
