Too Many, Just Right, or Not Enough?.?.?.?

About a year into collecting G's I found myself over 20 G's deep. A little consolidation has occurred and I now find myself at 14 (pictured below) with some more consolidation left to go in my book. And of course as always, a few more to pick up.

I was just wondering what you guys thought your ideal collection would look like?

I believe one should always abide by what I call the "Sjors rule."

Simply stated, it is this: one can never have too many Gs.

"Ideal"? I just don't know. 8 weeks in and going strong.
Yes, I am OCD. What gave it away?

My ideal is one or two for business attire and your favorite model for everything else (3 examples of your favorite model one with a strap, one with a bracelet and, one to collect). The other models I own and like or want to own just don't get as much wrist time as my favorite model so if I can afford I get them of not no biggy

Ask me when I hit No. 100 which could be coming sometime this year, LOL!

Ugh, just counted and quickly approaching No. 75. Not sure what my ideal collection is... mix of iconic vintage pieces, Frogs, and mix of everything in between that makes me giggle like a school girl

I can't say what is "too much", but I can say you're still missing a 9300, a basic 5600 and something red .

For me, that would be way too many; though you do definitely have some nice models there!

My rationale is that I am willing to spend a decent amount on a G since I wear it 24/7 vs $10 for a shirt I might only wear once a week. Despite this, it is now hard for me to justify as I have 2 G-Shocks and a Databank which do not all get equal wrist time.

It's a personal thing, whatever you are happy with. For me I have only started collecting recently and am going to display them properly in glass top display case. Then you can see them all on display rather than hidden away in drawers etc waiting to be pulled out. I have a 10 watch display case coming, when I eventually fill it I will either stick or buy another case to start again LOL

You just need a 9010 Mudman and a 9900 Frogman in there, and you're good to go.

For me the magic number is 30. One watch a day for a month. Correctly done and steadfastly observed, you'd be wearing the same watch not before next month, which is long enough to keep fresh the feeling of it wrapped around your wrist. Full disclosure - I keep hovering over that limit by 5-6, but count out the to-be-sold/donated/handed down, and I'm good.
