Too Old for a New Frogman?

    Folks,

I am a big fan of the Frogman series. I own the Final Frogman from the last series and love it. I'm now interested in the atomic Frogman. The only problem is my middle aged eyes have a little trouble with the size of the digits on my current Frogman. Are the numbers on the newest Frogs the same size as the old ones? Anybody have a compasion shot? Getting older is tough! Thanks.

    Hi Watcher205,

Have no fear. The new frog is easily readable. The display is very clear with good contrast. I just purchased the GF1000BP, and I love it. I can easily read the time and day and date, and I can also read the dive time chrono when I'm operating it. The new 1000 series frog is significantly easier to read than the 200 series. BTW, I am 55 years old, and I also use reading glasses. I don't need the glasses to read the frog display.

They are about the same size digits, but the new one is a little easier to read.

......it looks quite the same to me. If not the newer ones are a tad smaller. But from a subjective point of view, somehow, it is a tad easier to read.

This thread needs to be locked!! All it does is give people the opportunity to show off to the rest of us that not only do they have a 1000 series Frog, but they have MULTIPLE Frogs!! I'm turning green with envy and my already empty wallet HATES all of you!!

It looks to me like the area that displays the time and now date is larger. I have always thought that if G-Shock didn't divide the screen on their display's they would be easier to read, and this proves my point.

    Cheers

Agreed. There is more room around the digits, the extraneous stuff is further away.

Sorry this is not a fever reducer!!

I see you live in the Birmingham area. I do also. If you need to check an atomic frog in person let me know.
