Hi 7s -
I was going to respond on the other thread but it has been closed due to the weatherB-)
You can indeed by these parts as CASIO Japan most certainly manufacture them to date.
Their are many Japanese websites who sell the parts.
Having said this, I wear my BRAZILIAN which I presume is the same material as the BACK SPOTS and HELIOS, and the band and bezel work perfectly and I'm sure they will for many years to come.
I'm up in the very hot tropics, so my bands are exposed to extremely hot sunlight, as is my skinO|
Timoth Patrick Is I'm sure on the other extreme in winter, although I believe Canada is coming close to matching the Aussie sunlight:-D
My 99 and Men In Yellow 1998 FROGMAN are very well worn for many years, and they show no signs of deterioration.
I may point out that according to some members, the resin quality has improved so the solar GW-2XX series should be even better
Don't let it worry you as these are TOUGH CASIO G-SHOCK FROGMAN'S and they are made for all extremes including the corroding saltwater
Enjoy the photos:gold

Re: Is Toronto the hottest place on the planet right now????
I am concerned about my GW-200BC Black Helios strap/bezel in the heat. It may be a bit irrational to think like that. However, you cannot buy these parts anymore (along with parts for the Brazilian and Carbon Fiber Frogmen), which is an issue of great concern to me, as the watches are very expensive -- and only two years old.
