As I was unraveling my traveling plans to my grandparents, my grandfathers initial response was "you're not going to take one of your beautiful watches along, are you?". The man has a valid point ofcourse, makes no sense taking a fragile automatic or one with questionable WR to a humid environment where it'll surely see some abuse in different kind of forms. At first I was thinking about just getting some kind of very cheap beater, but something nags me buying a watch that will serve no purpose when I return back home. So that started me thinking about a G-Shock, and while I like to spend some time researching I'm feeling that every search is making my judgment more cluttered instead of simplifying things. I'm just not getting a grasp on all different models yet!
So, the travelling plans: Vietnam/Laos/Cambodja. Hiking and swimming most definitely, other adventurous plans surely coming along the way. My 'no-option' budget is about $100, willing to stretch if the watch serves extra purposes I can use along my journey (dual time, diff. timezones,...).
Liking the low price, retro look, relative small size and understatedness.
Bit more expensive, liking the looks better (somehow fits my destination IMO ). Has timezones but I'm a bit worried it's going to be too big on my wrist (blessed with 16cm/6.2" flat wrists).
So, with the info provided, what do you guys think my options are? And specifically for Euros: where can I order at the lowest price, shipping included? Thanks in advance!
