Thumbs Up Tried on a GWM5600-1 this morning.

    You guys know the watch:

The numbers were very nice to read in comparison to the DW5600-E I wore to the store. I loved everything about it, including the controversial multiple colors on the glass.

Well, almost everything - I'm perplexed about the puny timer function (60 minutes only). I'm on the fence on getting either this or a G5600. As we "speak", I've been using the timer of the DW5600-E to count down to an auction's end (almost there) for the past 13 hours. I guess you could make an argument pro-GWM based on the 5 alarms, but...

Veredict: an awesome watch, I'm sure even more with the composite bracelet. It's all that, and probably more.

However, if someone tells me the bracelet will in fact fit the G5600...

I'd like to advise... but I'm alsovery frustrated by this watch. Timer is too short, stopwatch is too long, and no current time in the stopwatch mode.... Otherwise, I really like the watch; Wear, looks, functions, price...

    Good luck choosing

I love the style, so I keep trying them on too (whenever I'm at the Mall w/ the GF) -- but I keep passing on buying one b/c they just feel so small after wearing my 6900's for some time now. Maybe I'll find a 5500 I like. . . .

I lost the damned auction, so that's it for the timer argument for now...

Definately a great G, I curently have 2 of them, and a G-5600, my only gripe is that it is smaller than the DW-5600E and the only way I can actually wear mine is on an aftermarket DW-6600 strap, which I like better anyway. I don't use the timer or anything so thats not an issue for me, love the Atomic feature though.

Somebody around here tried a Maratac striped zulu on theirs. As soon as I ordered mine I ordered up the strap. Knockout idea, whoever it was! They belong together fer sure!

To me the 5600 is a plain and simple watch if thats what youre looking for. I find it a bit too small, its ok though it does what its supposed to do tell time lol.
