    Ha Ha,

the simple answer: It has two sensors...:-D

The good answer answer and explenation:

A twin sensor model has a thermometer sensor and a barometer sensor. A barometer sensor is not temperature stable. Therefore you need to know the temperature, to compensate the readout of the barometer sensor. A twin sensor watch has most of the time also a altimeter. You can calculate height differences by the pressure changes occuring by ascending and descending. With normal weather conditions these altimeters are quiet accurate (within a 5m accuracy).

    Cheers,

    Re: Twin sensors

Hey guys, I just saw a twin sensor DW-6500 (with gold buttons and the resin band has a gold buckle) in an old watch shop here and the owner was selling it for about USD$180 (after conversion from Singapore dollars).

You guys reckon it's a good deal? It's an unused watch with the tags present and the shop owner assured me that the batteries are newly-replaced. It does look pretty old-school with the old light function.

It does sound a little steep for such a watch. Anyone with a good idea how much should I bargain it down for?

    Thanks guys

I think that 180 is way too much.
If you are on the lookout on ebay tyou will find a very good example for about 50-60 USD.

Indeed, even the DW-6700 doesn't go for that!
