Two new additions to my Frog pond

I am actually out for quite some time. So the frogs I show you have been released for a certain time. Just skip it if you feel boring. I need to document what I have bought.

    First new one is GW-200f-3jr

    I like the glossy skin.

Next was just received yesterday, GWF-1000G:

As a frog lover, there is no point to buy it in such a late stage. But originally I thought that GWF-1000 for wear and GWF-1000B for collection was good enough. But when I saw this 1000G, I knew that I couldn't flip it. Maybe Chinese like the mix of golden and black colour.

Unfortunately it was not straight forward, the 1000G was becoming rarer in Hong Kong and the price was getting higher and higher. I eventually got it from a Yahoo Hong Kong seller. It is not cheap but is still acceptable.

I think it is the real successor of DW-8200B-9A, golden eye frogman.

The 2nd and fifth generation frogs.

    Party time

I heard a red and a yellow 1000 frog will come later. But I more like the glossy or gelly 1000 frogs: glossy white, glossy black, jelly red, jelly blue, any crazy colour...

    Cheers,

    Wah

    Hi Roy and sameerb,

Thank you for your information. You guys want to poison me.

Seriously, the asking price is too high, if not rediculous. In the years of collection, I have made up my own rule: The crossover version with other fashion brands or designers is not as collectible as the official limited version. Unless you are a die hard fan of that brand or designer, I find embarrassing to wear a watch with other's name on it or wear it like a moving advertisement board, especially the one you don't know or don't like. The fashion brands or designer are hot in one region may not be propular in another due to the cultural difference. Of course if the price is reasonable and the appearance is good, it is another story.

The 'King of Frogs' strikes again!

I love how Wah just casually lines up shots alongside such rarities as the 'Golden Eye' and Blue Jelly.

    Hi Way,

Great additions. The green Kermit is absolutely a cool looking watch. I love the GWF-1000 model, but I prefer the basic model, or better the Yellow M.I.Y. tribute model.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Re: Two new additions to my Frog pond

Nice additions, but I have to say the only one that makes me green with envy is the Kermit. At first I didn't want one but I'm growing more fond of it. I'm down to one hybrid frog and that's a MS wearing all of it's black hardware and a 25th anniversary black band/bezel.
The green one has me thinking.........
