    Unboxing my GW-M5600-1ER

    Hi all,

I hate coming back to work on Mondays after a nice weekend, but this morning I had a good reason to cheer up! When I arrived at work the parcel was already waiting for me... There have been many exciting unboxing threads in this forum and mine wont be as good as the others', but I had to share my excitement.

Its my first 5600, my first retro looking G and my first solar and atomic all in the same watch!; it had to be the magnificent GW-M5600. I am very pleased with it, I wasn't expecting it to be so light, comfortable, easy to read and straight forward, every function works as it says in its description and for the price (£70) its difficult to get so much watch.

I finally pulled the trigger on it last Friday and the watch came well wrapped (within three Royal Mail bags!); my pictures follow the order in which I unwrapped my new G up until I set the atomic time next to my other G's. I had to sneak the pictures in between my colleagues at work came and went around my desk! But I couldn't wait to open it... so I apologize for the poor quality on some of them.

As you all know, the pictures never show how nice watches are 'in the flesh', but we can only try... enjoy!

    Congratulations

I've looked long at many different 5600 variant, and I seems to always get back to this one. Looking at your pics, I want one even more, but I have to save up for something else right now... but later

Very, very nice watch. I had one, wish I hadn't sold it. I may well buy another at some point. The composite bracelet is pretty good on it, if you can find one for a reasonable price these days (they pretty much doubled in price a while ago).

BTW, are you in Lewes? I used to live in Bexhill, went through Lewes on the train to work every day. Very nice town (and not just because they make Harveys there ).

Thanks all for your compliments! Since the moment I opened it I knew it was a keeper, what a great watch. The watch has synced every night since I got it despite the fact that I keep it in a box!

Hi David S, I work in Lewes indeed, great little village! Harveys are like G's, once you have tried one, you just want more! The Harveys pub on the same road its also a great place to sit down and enjoy a nice pint after a day's work

    Congratulations !!

I own several G's but the GWM5600 it's the one that gets most wrist time. Very light and comfortable. Mine is showing some good signs of use,I may get another one just to have it new
