Uncovered a few Pre-G relics today...

My wife and I were cleaning and lo and behold, she discovered my long lost DW-340 300m. I've had this watch for about 12 years and wore it daily for about 3,then alternated with my old Seiko quartz chrono (RIP). I purchased it @Big 5 for about $45 after the lug on my DW-400 broke off for the 3rd time and lost itself. I had glued it back on successfully twice before.
The DW-400 I purchased in 1992 with some proceeds from high school graduation at K-mart, also purchasing a DW-5600C for my dad for fathers day. I think I walked out with both for about $75 as there was a sale of some sort.

Here they are. As you can see they survived the many jobs of my younger years:dishwasher, busboy in a restaurant, numerous cafe jobs, janitor at a movie theater, coffe bean roaster, in addition to lots of swims in the pool and mountain bike rides. Lots of history here, which is why they are still with me. Sorry 'bout the blurry 2nd pic

WOW! Some special memories there. Gotta pass those down to your kids, not sure if they'd be willing to take them though...LOL

Restoration not really possible, as they don't have replaceable resin bezels like a G. I'd like to get a NOS DW-400 soon or one of the similar variants sometime. They seem to be fairly common. The two I have are simply milestones at this point. The DW-340 will get a new band shortly. Either a canvas Maratac Nato or a stock Casio.

Casio did release a 300M water resist G-Shock! how come Casio 300M is rare nowadays?
