An unexpected and lucky find today= G-9200MB Garish Black Riseman!

I ventured to the mall today to escape the heat and look for a birthday present for my wife. I stumbled across a new store that supposedly has a deal to deliver "premier" G-Shocks(whatever that means). They did have a whole bunch that I usually don't find in the local Macy's though. One of those was the new Garish Black Riseman. I normally have had bad luck with negative displays, but the light must have been hitting this one just right because it looked awesome. The salesperson offered me a 15% discount to push me over the edge...not too tough for a WIS. Anyway, this is the non-atomic solar model. It's very similar to the MIMB series, except with white accents. I didn't think that I would like the white accents, but it looks great in person and the white will actually go with just about anything. I think this will look great on the ski slopes! It would be pretty easy to remove the white lettering for someone looking to go full black. The button is still metal with a flat black coating. It's not reflective at all as I heard was the case with the MIMB Riseman. For those looking to remove the white G on that button, I have no idea how Goof Off Paint remover would affect that finish. I would probably avoid that. Anyway, I thought I would share some pictures since I haven't seen too many of these on here yet. Here it is...

looking great, if it's 15% off 220, then, it's good deal - anything higher than that is seller's trick

Yup, that's exactly what it was. $200 out the door with tax....

Congrats, scooby. That's a great price, too. If I didn't have a MIMB Gulfman, I'd be on the hunt for one of these.

Outstanding beauty, best looking riseman (one of the best looking G's of all time in my opinion) so far and that's how it should have looked in the first place. The white lettering gives a nice but subtle contrast and I think removing it would make the watch too sinister. Congratulations and wear it in good health.

looks pretty sweet, i love all the little white details on the all-black watch. looks like the way the riseman was always supposed to look.

Did your wife like it? You did say you were shopping for her birthday right?
