    The Venerable DW-6800

Rumour has it that this was the model that put in a brief appearance in "The Blair Witch Project".

A Japan made DW-6800 with module 1288, just a shade wider than the 5600 at 45mm but much thicker (about 17mm).

    Scary pic:

    Take care

This is a real nice model. It is also rare,I don't see many of these. I think it was in one of the speed movies also.

    really?

    which one? 1 or 2?

the more famous ones would be DW5600C for "speed" and DW8700 for "speed 2"

Yep I saw it too. The girl was wearing it, wasn't it (I saw a bit on tv a few weeks ago). I have it on DVD, but I'm a bit lazy at the moment. Does anyone know if they are still sold in theU.S. Someone asked in my guestbook.

    Cheers,

I think it was speed 1, but I will try to check it in the next couple of days. For some reason I remember this model because I think it was one of the first Gs I saw with the illuminator style backlight. Of course we are sliding back to 1994-1995 so I'm not real sure.:-S

Here's a screenshot of "Speed". I can't believe Speed 2 is good. Never heard anybody enthousiast about it...
