    A very unusual Casio

Recently I found a very strange Casio on our local web auction. It looks like a typical combined EFA-series Edifice, but it has NO Edifice logo (at all!), but only FIFA and World Cup 2006 logos. The model index is also very strange: [3798] WEF-116WC, I've never seen such letter combinations in Casio models. Is it a real Edifice, or what is it???

A real Casio for sure. From Casio USA website:

Yes, it's exactly this one. But why no EDIFICE logo? It's very similar to EFA-116.

It's, not an Edifice, it's a world cup Casio.

But it's actually an Edifice! Compare it to the ordinary EFA-116.

No, EFA-116 is also Module 3798. 4334 is EFA120/121/122, it's a different module with 5 buttons and a temperature sensor.
PS, what is the correct shape of the glass in WEF-116? Completely flat or spherical?

Not unusual for modules to be shared across different model ranges.

My World Cup watch has no edifice branding, but shares a module with an Edifice model.

    No biggie...

Not even only the module, but also the case, except the back cover.

    No difference.

Mine has the same case as an Edifice115D, just different branding and gold highlights.

Why would it be so unusual for a company to take an existing model, change some colours, slap on some new logos and BOOM, instant LE?

Again - No big deal - lots of brands do this across a lot of industries...
