    W-24/24-A (new to forum)

    Hello all.

I've recently become interested in watches and started lurking around here. I finally decided to join up after my son asked what my first watch looked like and I was able to pull up a picture of a Casio W-24 A with the yellow and blue color scheme and that irresistible marlin icon. Then came a flood of memories! I'm mostly into affordable watches, like Timex, and I just purchased an automatic Orient 2ER sub homage, so I was surprised how much I now find myself thinking about that great Casio of my youth!

In know some of you have great collections of 80s Casios, but there haven't been many recent posts on the W-24/24 A, and I don't see any on ebay.

If anyone knows how I might go about picking one of these up in good condition for not too much cash, other than stalking it on ebay, please let me know! I'm not going to start collecting vintage Casios; I'd just like to have one to wear for old time's sake (no pun intended).

    Thank you!

    Welcome to the forum!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Welcome.

Sorry, but I don't have any insight on where to look for one, other than eBay.

Thanks for the welcomes! Your picture just increased my need for the watch! It's worth the wait and effort!

    Welcome to the forum

Even though you really like the original watch you had I think you will be just as happy with the DW5600E which has similar looks and can be had for around $ 60 or less

Thanks for the suggestion! Good looking watch, and I like the 200m water resistance. Still need the W-24, though.
