    W.C.C.S Pickup

Mr Dave Steelerswit will be proud of me for this one, knowing his love of these old jelly WCCS models!!

Although, *horrified gasp from Mr Wit*, I'm planning to dye this one, as the colour difference is quite noticeable between bezel & strap.

It'll have to be a dark dye though, so either black or blue?

So this was a Make an Offer on the 'bay, so I think my accepted £40 wasn't too bad a price.

Here are some seller's photos, DW-9600WC

very nice. ok, i will say this as a one time exception! yes, that needs a dip in the dye pool. i would try a blue first to see if with the yellow you can get an aqua marine color to tie in the theme.

Thank you for your permission Sir, of course I wouldn't have gone ahead if you had been against it .

Well she's a UK purchase, and according to eBay the estimate is 8th Sep.

I reckon it will be before that though, but not too long either way. I also have RIT dye in Navy Blue and Black on the way.

Postie delivered yesterday, so here are a few photos before I go to work in 20 minutes.

It's a little rougher than I'd hoped, but the marks on the crystal were mentioned by the seller.

Also the strap keeper has a small split so I don't know how long it will last.

The bottom right button is stiff and stuck in a bit, but that should be sorted with some silicone oil.

    Overall pretty happy with it.

    Re: W.C.C.S Pickup

Quick questions re - RIT dyeing parts.

    1. I shrunk a strap holder last time because it's too thin for the hot water and shriveled up. Can RIT dye still be effective when it's lukewarm/cold?

    2. Strap adapters - Are they similarly fragile when it comes to the hot water, or are they ok to go in with the straps & bezel?

    Cheers
