Want a G-Shock help me with models

Hy guys I am a newbie in the quartz world, till today I only owned automatic watches, but I need a resistant watch that i can expose to extreme situations......(army)

I know that there are several models, so, I want a black, or dark green one, with chrono and alarm, but not too expensive (+- 150 dollar)

    thanks

I'd go for a Mudman, all the features you need plus mud resist and extrmely tough!

Both available from here: http://www.xcelwatches.com/servlet/t.../51/Categories for a bargain price of $62

    Watches are frickin evil!

there are a lot of G-Shocks that will fit your citeria, how about narrowing it down some more?

solar? atomic? countdown timer (60min, 24hr or more)?

-/+ $150 is A LOT of money for a G-Shock that you are going to beat it up

DW5600E, DW6900, G2310, G9000 mudman, G9100 gulfman are some widely available models that can take a beating at an affordable price

atomic solar models (GW800, GW9000, GW9100) will cost you more money for the added atomic feature

I'll suggest the DW-9052 as it's not been mentioned yet. It's very comfortable and has good features.

If you need tough, I'd take a close look at the G-23xx series of G-Shocks. You wouldn't believe what members of this board have subjected these watches to. Let's just say that no living body could survive what these watches have simply brushed off. This a heavily tested and abused G-Shock, with a spotless track record. The size is medium-sized as far as G-Shocks go.

The G-23xx series is composed of 3 current production models. All have the same module features. Module features include a large and long lived solar battery, 24 hour countdown timer, 24 hour stopwatch, 5 versatile alarms, world time that shows current time and GMT offset, an auto-EL light for night use, and data memory.

The G-2300-9V has an amber display, gray inner bezel, and resin strap.

The G-2300B-1V has a gray display, black inner bezel, and super-tough nylon strap.

The G-2310-9V has a gray display, silver inner bezel, and resin strap.
