    A watch from 1985

Hello all! I've just wanted to ask you. In 1985 my parents bought me in London a watch of Casio which I'm not sure if it's a G-Shock or not. I wonder if you could tell me which model it was. Here is the picture, it's got 2 coarse buttons in the bottom and 2 in the left side (the top one is for adjust). It got a blue circle in the right with the seconds inside of it.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Andi,

I think your watch was an old sportswatch. There are no G-Shock's in that time having two buttons on top. I acvtually do not know any G-Shock with a button on top. The circle you have drawn looks very familiar and is beem found on the DW-004, Froman and many other models. Therefore I think your watch was indeed a Casio (my first thoughts went to a Timex).

    Cheers,

    Sjors

I remember Casio running watches with that style.

    Hi Andi -

    That's really annoyingO|

Can put colours to the watch?

I can possibly put a slight model in my mind, but cannot put my finger on it:-S

It seems to be a very unique watch, possibly a way out Japanese design, maybe someone knows a good website with some really groovy vintage models on..

I did see a sales site once but don't know the address...

Whaaaa, hope someone knows for you....

Hi, well the color of the watch was black like the DW-5600 and also he got similar shape (but mine was a complete rectangle). The color of the buttons was black also. I don't remember the color of the case and the sad thing is that the front buttons stucked after 2 years and it was very hard to press them. I don't have that watch anymore, it's one of those objects that you lost in life. In 1987 my parents bought me the Data Bank (the calculator one).

I do missed that watch. It got also a 23 hours countdown and I liked to watch the remaining hours in the circle. Also in the stopper - every second the circle completed a full round.

You sir, are a genius! that was the watch but the circle was different. Indeed it was in the same place but it was thicker and with blue segments (similar to nowdays) and it's got digits inside and it didn't had the running man.
