    The Trooper:

The basic design here was intended to emulate those little green plastic toy soldiers we all played with when we were kids. Think of it as a vintage GI look. This watch started life out as an SKX007. The original bezel was replaced by a stainless steel 12 hour bezel with recessed markings. The case, crown, bezel, insert and caseback were all blasted and coated in Olive Drab ceramic. The insert markings were filled in hand applied enamel and the lume pip was relumed in deep white lume to make it brighter.

Inside, the dial was replaced with an aftermarket Yobokies sterile tan flieger dial. The hands were replaced with black ladder-style hands provided by Noah Fuller. The original white day and date wheels where replaced with black day and date wheels, and the original chapter ring was replaced for a metal insert which was given the same finish and coating as the case. The original Hardlex crystal was replaced with a Yobokies brown-tinted sapphire crystal. The finished watch is mounted on a custom made tobacco brown leather Toshi strap with Olive Drab stitching. The strap’s buckle was blasted and coated in the same manner as the case.

The end effect is striking and really has that vintage WWII military look to it, but with the larger proportions we all prefer today.

As with all off the Watching for the Cure Seiko watches there is the engraved rotor on the movement with the ribbon symbol hand enameled in two tone pink. Here is the picture of the one in one of the other watches.
