Ways to clean the G's rubber?

This G-Shock bug has bit me and bit me hard. I have been a fan and collector of Rolex and Omegas. I currently have a G-Shock that I bought two years ago and worn it doing many jobs.

After seeing everyone's pictures of their G-Shock and great collections I want to get it looking clean and new, I want to know how to clean the watch and give it that fresh rubber look.

My rubber seems to have a film of ash, like when you don't put lotion on your skin.

    Any advice welcomed....thanks in advance!

A soft bristled toothbrush and some toothpaste is what I use when the resin parts get a bit gungy.

Take them in the shower but don't put soap on them.

Then, take them off when you use the soap.

The warm water will clean them.

i guess it comes down to the same old question: what damages resin more... soap or the sweat excreted from the skin? i use shower gel on mine, i like to know that me and my watches are clean.

My only problem with this is that sudden, drastic changes in temperature could lead to condensation issues.

I tied to clean my G once. It gave me a smack down, called me a sissy, and sent me to my room to think about what I'd done.

What model G do you have? Is it the regular black resin, or something else?

After reading these boards, it seems that I have the most controversial G-Shock since the inception of the new technology, of solar and atomic receiving....I have the notorious...GW-300.
