Weak El Backlight on my GW7900

Hi all, I just purchased my g shock 7900 and I have a problem with it already . The backlight on the watch is very weak and I'm not sure why. The power is on high and even in the dark the light is not very helpful. Any suggestions as to why this is?

    Thanks!

I know it's not a fake, does having a negative display have anything to do with it?

Most probably not. In fact negative displays are even better to read at nighttime than positive ones, since only the digits light up. Maybe your solar battery is fairly drained (you can't rely on the "L-M-H" indicator at all) or you have a bad contact in the circuit. A picture of the watch and/or a backlight shot would probably help.

Are you sure you are not looking at all the dial? If so, with a negative display the whole dial will glow less then on a positive dial, since the idea is to basically only light up the digits.
    Cheers!
