    Well, I can't say I wasn't warned

about the complexity of the Pathfinder and its features!

I should introduce myself first: Redbike (have a couple - both red, hence the name. Plus I'm too old to keep track of several monikers for the various sites I hang on, so one size must fit all) I usually hang out on the Stowa and German sites. But the other day, I saw this post in the General forum, titled: 'what's the big hairy deal with G-Shocks', or some such.

Well, a title like that will always get my attention, so first I perused the thread, then read a bunch on the G-Shock forum. I do a fair amount out of doors, so the ABC features of the Pathfinder appealed to me (despite the poll which confirms that the Frogman is far and away the most popular model - I'm often the contrarian!).

Today found me face to face with a 1300 and I brought it home. It was especially nice to find one at the same price in Cdn. as it is in USD, notwithstanding our again-devalued-Canukabuck.

So, now I get to come to grips with the contents of a 120-page manual. I confess that not much makes sense just yet - and it isn't even displaying the correct time.

But its waaay cool, and I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. So, what does all this mean? It means 'thanks' for all the informative posts, and especially thanks for turning me on to a whole new realm of watches!

    Regards to all. Redbike

Congrats on your purchase. Once you get it all figured out you will be enjoying it for a long time. I'm glad the love we at the G forum have for our watches seeps over into the other forums. Was this a first ever Casio purchase?

Congrats, and welcome to the darkside. Your pathfinder can always help you find your way back home - but now that your here why not stay a while.
