Were DW-6100's originally made in Korea?

Hi All- I have a DW-6100 Thermometer black with red lettering I bought new and pretty much kept it like new. The back is marked "Made in Korea" over a T and has module 1414. Just wondering if they were ever made in Japan. Or was Korea the first place of Manufacture? Thanks -Ronbo

Yes, I think that Korea was the original manufacture for the DW6100 just like it was for the DW6600.

My mint condition DW-6100 was made in Japan. Says Japan T on the case back. You may have a mis-matched caseback or something, it should say module 974.

Strange? Mine appears to have the same module but it clearly reads, 974 DW-6100,...

I guess that I was wrong then. All G-Shocks probably started off being manufactured in Japan. Then the same watches were being manufactured in Korea, then Malaysia, then Indonesia, then Thailand, now in China and they probably will all be manufactured in Vietnam or somewhere in Africa pretty soon.
