What color are the new GW-A1000 compared to the RAF?

    Hey guys,

I've got a RAF and really like the color.
I was wondering if the 30 stars and the FC one are more black or more grey like the RAF?

    Thanks in advance!

From what I see on the GPS and members' pictures. I think the 30 stars and black FC will be traditional black. So far the only RAF has the matte black.

I'm also very fond of the matte grey on the RAF,

Imo It's closest to the smokey grey series resin... ever so slightly darker maybe. But if you like the RAF resin colour, you'll love the men in smokey grey series.

The 30 stars looks vanilla black to me...

30 Stars is definitely black compared to the stunning grey RAF. Torn between both but they compliment each other nicely don't you agree?

It's rather hard to estimate because both watches are not limited to number of units, but production period (like most limited edition g-shocks).
To my knowledge RAF usually commands a higher price than the 30 stars. Not sure if that reflects the rarity though.
Especially when its price has been plummeting lately.
Both are readily available brand new or in the second hand market, and I believe that the production run has ended for the RAF, not the 30 stars (not entirely sure)

For sure the RAF is rarer. I can still pop into the G-Factory stores here and pick up a 30 Stars whereas the RAF was limited to the UK and Japan if i'm not wrong. Thirty Stars retails here for S$719 which is approximately US$580.

The RAF was limited to 2000 pieces, 30 stars is only limited to Casio's thoughts of not over-producing (nobody has discounted a 30 stars to below retail AFAIK).

I came across that as well, but I haven't been able to verify it. Can anyone provide a credible source that confirms the RAF was limited to 2000 pieces?
