What are the difference between these two solar models?

The model in the "no warranty" thread caught my eye (thanks, I guess!) and had a question about two similar models - AQS810W-3AVCF and AQS800W-1BV.

Am I correct that these are "sport" and not "G-Shock" models, not that it makes a big difference, but that's how the Casio web page classifies them?

The only difference I can see between the two is the 810 is slightly larger (46x12mm) than the 800 (42x10mm), and, the 800 has a little bit more going on in the dial. I like the looks of the 800 a little bit better, but I'm leaning toward the green, just for a change, and I don't see an 800 in green anywhere.

    Anything I'm missing?

Casio makes a lot of different types of models -- they're all nice watches, but the G-Shocks are significantly tougher if you're planning on dropping your watch out a window, running a jackhammer, hammering nails with the hand that wears the watch, etc.

They have the same electronic module inside, so they have the same features -- the only difference I could find comparing the two side-by-side on Casio's website is the water resistance is 200m "ADSW800WH Series," which you're not asking about.

Since both watches featuring the same modules the main difference is the housing style. :)

Just pick the one you like the most! :)

There is the AD-S800WH with mineral glass and beefier housing.
    This will be somewhat upmarket.

That does make a difference, as I am hard on my every day watches. This was going to be a knock around alternate for my Mudman, but it sounds like it's not in the same league at all. I need to look for a solar analog G-Shock that's on the cheaper side.

Try looking at the AWG-M100. If you really need the solar & analog, that's about the cheapest one coming to mind. (I'm not huge into analogs though, so maybe someone else knows more.)
