What do use the World Time function on your watch for?

OK, obviously if you are a high flyer, you'll need it to check on all the different exotic places you visit, but many of us don't travel that extensively. Personally, I'm a massive F1 race fan, so I set my WT for the forthcoming race so I can keep an eye on the start which is usually 1pm or 2pm local time. Right now, it's set on the time to reflect the race from Austin, Texas this Sunday. So, what do you use your World Time for?

Unless I, or a loved one, was going to be in another far away time zone setting time in another zone is not needed. The swap function is very smart for those going to same other time zone with frequency. Makes it easy to keep analog Time at hand.

I always set it to Taipei time, where I’m originally from. I also deal with many Asian suppliers so it’s helpful at a glance to know when their day starts and ends.

UTC, frequently used in the military and what many shortwave radio stations use to describe their broadcast times.

My best friends actually lives in others time zones, so I use world time to call them not too late, nor too soon.

The 7900's are my favourites, although the 56s are currently my focus. But nothing is excluded, except pink Risemans.

I live in Sweden, parents in Scotland and brother in Dubai, so the world time alternates between LON & DXB occasionally
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.

I frequently have conference calls with different partners/suppliers from Seoul, Moscow or NYC. I use the WT function to help with the planning, although it is not completely reliable due to DST differences. Other than that, I don't use it at all, CET rocks:)

I also leave my watch at UTC. Makes easier to check different timezones (a few of whom I know the UTC + and -)...

I don't use World Time. I 'used' dual time. The old 80's-96 Casio DW-5600C had it, and unlike World Time on some watches now, you could see both time-zones displayed concurrently. It was more practical than World Time, IMO. I miss dual display dual time.
