What g-shock can i get now with a cloth band?

Something like the now discontinued and apparently hard to find 2300b-1v would be great

I'd like it to be the same as the above in terms of strap. The cloth band should preferably cover the back of the case (I don't like the feeling of cold metal on my skin).

    Any ideas?

Are you wanting a watch that comes from the factory with a cloth band? Or are you willing to buy the adapters and do it yourself?
Any G-Shock that will accept the 16mm adapters can be put on a cloth (Nato/Zulu) band after the purchase.
Any 5600 series except the GW-5600J
    Any 6900 series
    Plus many others

DW-290, not a G but it can go on a fast wrap strap

There appear to be only two current models on Casio's international site's "advanced search" that come on fabric straps, the AW-591MS and several GA-100 versions: Search Results - Watches - CASIO

Some recent "Glide" models came on nylon/neoprene straps as well, if you can still find one for sale.

Many of us have installed strap adapters and one-piece nylon straps on MANY different models, most of which Rocat mentioned above. I myself have put them on a DW-5600E, a GW-2310, and several GW-6900's, as well as putting a "fast wrap" on a DW-290. Here's "my" incomplete list of models that work with adapters: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/the...ml#post7955170 and here's somewhat older list, though you'll have trouble finding many of these models: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/inp...ml#post3178748

I would start by finding a G-Shock where you like the style and features, and then checking here to see if it's "adapter compatible."

i have the exact strap above, comparing to the new quality nato/zulu these days, it takes longer to dry out and also traps smells

but it is cool and the design was convenience for taking on and off

but like i said, my nato/zulu are better quality and it's easier to adjust whenever I wear it closer to my wrist or outside my jacket sleeve

For recent releases don't forget about the GLS-100. The green and the brown were fabric straps.

    Also many older G-Lides.

JDM only, I think, at least got this from Asia. Not so easy to find.
Edit: Looks like there is a Euro version as well, identical to the JDM.

The bands are easily available seperately without the watch from the UK via the Bay. Picked up a spare.

I will NEVER get a cloth band. It smells like the insides of a cast that's been on for 7 weeks. Nasty.

Re: What g-shock can i get now with a cloth band?

The only one in recent times that have come with a cloth band that also covers the back plate that I can remember are the Undefeated collaboration from 2013:

But that one is not cheap. It is in the $250-$350 range these days.

As for the smell. Best practice is to rinse and rub the strap on the underside every time before going to bed when you have worn it. That will prolong the time significantly before it starts to smell. By doing this I managed to wear my old ProTrek for 3 years before it started to be to smelly!

There are many different types of "cloth straps." I can see how some of Casio's multi-layer straps with wide weave fabric or other materials like neoprene could hold moisture and pick up odor, but as I've written before, a lot of aftermarket nylon Zulu straps are so tightly woven that they feel more like plastic than "cloth." I've never worn one of those for a week at a time in a jungle environment, but they seem to do just fine after a day of yardwork and a good rinse in the shower.

Other people take advantage of the fact that one-piece cloth straps are (generallly) easy to remove from the watch and then be put in the laundry. Some people have written about putting them in a jeans pocket, or buckling it around a belt loop, and they come out of the wash looking (and smelling) like they were new!
