What makes one g-shock better than another?

I'm guessing it's just features. But for two similar watches, why is one more costly than the other? For example, where I live the dw6900 is 15 dollars more than the 5600e, but theyre essentially the same watch. Why is a gd-350 80 dollars? Most g-shocks have the same basic features, with maybe something extra like world time. (Master of g's are a different story)

Features, materials used in manufacturing, rarity, condition (for vintage models), color scheme, even country of manufacture all may have importance to some people. Whether the watch is "better" or not can be debatable. For the most part, Casio charges what they think they can get

Its like anything else, the number of features and the materials (band, size of the display, etc) are a factor.

^that (and apparently casio AU thinks theyre sitting on a gold mine here lol)

the majority is marketing. same with nike, why did infrared air max 90s go for stupid prices (even after 3 rereleases) when the almost identical blaze orange/red was only a couple shades off couldnt be given away at clearance outlets. its only as "better" as theyre perceived (or the (over)hype they receive from the buying public)

Why do titanium watches cause way more? Titanium isn't even very expensive in that kind of quantity.

The grass is always greener. All of the ones that you do not own are better. Buy them now.

At least we could be sure about one thing, positive display is usually better than negative display in most of situations.

Re: What makes one g-shock better than another?

Good question, I'd not only been wondering this as well, I nearly posted the question myself recently.
I know the watches made in Japan would predictably cost more than the (cheaper labor) Chinese made ones, and the ones with a screw-down back would be more expensive to manufacture.
It would seem logical that those with more features would cost a little more.
Obviously, older, out-of-production, and limited editions would cost more, but this is "value" based on a different criteria, not necessarilly applicable here.
I've been wondering about the different "modules". If they're not using the same ones in nearly every G-shock, there has to be a reason, but since they all keep nearly perfect time, and are all built virtually shock-proof, I can't even guess at what the differences are. Anyone know?
