What is that star-ish icon over the seconds on the DW6900?

I'm new to G-Shock, and I own a DW6900, but I have no clue what that star-like icon is.

Can someone explain it to me please?

Welcome to the forum. The star is an indication that the "Auto EL" is on. This means that when you tilt your wrist up to look at it, the back light (EL) comes on automatically.

Actually with the 6900 it means that the flash is on... so when your CDT hits 0 it will beep and flash... same with the alarm. The 6900 doesnt have Auto EL.

That's what I thought, too, but I don't think the 6900 has the auto EL function, does it?

Have you seen how many 6900's I have? LOL

Dont forget the 6900 is a pretty "primitive" G Shock module... they didnt have Auto EL back in the day!

These 003s have the coolest "little star"...
you can just barely see it in this picture... its in the little round frame
